Independence & ethics

Fund the work.
Don't buy the answer.

You commission an honest professional assessment. You receive the full text before publication and choose whether it becomes public. The expert owns the conclusions.

Sponsor can

Read it. Then decide.

Provide context, flag factual errors and add a separate company response. Keep the completed assessment private or approve the complete public record.

Sponsor cannot

Control conclusions.

Rewrite the expert’s findings, rating or conclusions, or remove weaknesses from the record.

Before publication

Approval comes first.

Neither the expert nor the platform may publish without company approval. Silence is not approval.

Publication and payment

The fee pays for the work, not a positive verdict.

Expert compensation does not depend on the verdict or the company’s publication choice.

Choosing not to publish does not entitle you to a refund for completed assessment work. Your statutory rights are unaffected. These terms apply to new orders; previously accepted orders retain their agreed terms.

What public records disclose

Public records disclose the sponsor, payment and publication terms. Under the new-order policy, the sponsor approves the full assessment for publication. The public library is a sponsor-selected subset of commissioned work; private assessments are absent.

Review authorship

Original reviews, written by the expert.

Every commissioned expert review, including private work, must be original text written personally by the named expert for the agreed brief.

Base the review on work you personally performed and sources you checked. Keep your original notes and supporting evidence for editorial review.

AI-generated or AI-rewritten review text, invented tests, results or citations, recycled reviews and generic filler are not accepted.

Spellcheck and formatting tools are allowed only if they do not generate or rewrite review prose or change your judgment.

This is a manual editorial standard. Work that does not meet it needs revision before release. Staff check original notes and evidence and resolve authorship concerns; an AI detector is not proof of authorship.

The platform’s automated expert-authority research and generated profiles are separate research outputs, not commissioned expert-written reviews or human-reviewed publications.
